Impacts of Drugs Misuse
Drugs
which contain compounds that give addictive effects for users are really
harmful. At the beginning, people, who misuse it, want to relive their stress
by consuming the addictive drugs. They do not think about the dangerous
impacts which will appear after they consume it. Teenagers often fall into
this problem because their parents probably do not pay enough attention to
their children. The impacts of consuming this kind of drugs are not only for
the users, but also for their family, and even for our country.
First,
the users will have the impact for themselves. They will have brain function
disorder and they do not grow normally as other teenagers. If they consume it
in an excessive dose, they will get overdose that can cause death by stoppage
of respiration or brain blooding. Overdose occurs due to the tolerance so
that we need a dose which is greater or for a long time we stop consuming it,
then we put up with the former dose in use. Health damage or organ function
disorder like liver, heart, pulmonary, the kidney, the endocrine glands,
reproduction, and skin diseases will also appear.
Second is the impact for their
family. The comfortable and peaceful atmosphere of their family can be
disturbed. The family are worried because their belongings are lost in the
house. Their children are lying and not responsible. The parents feel guilty
and try to cover the child. The future of their children is unclear. The
children are dropped out of school or unemployed. Stress level increases.
Parents are desperate for the increased output of money, or because their
children must be treated in the hospital for many times, maybe even live in
prison. Family should bear the burden of these socioeconomic problems.
Third
is the impact for our country. The mafia of illicit trade are also trying to
supply drugs. The dealers’ relations with victims are connected and they
create the black market. Therefore, the market is formed and we are difficult
to break the chain of their courses. The consumers of narcotics do not have
durability and sustainability so
that our country’s development is threatened. The state will suffer loss
because the people are not productive and crime increases and also the
infrastructure that must be provided.
The
misuse of drugs that is done by people can cause impacts not only for
themselves but also for their surroundings. The loss that they suffer is huge
for this case. The impacts of drugs misuse are really hazardous and bad for
ourselves, family, and our lovely country.

My
Favourite Teacher
Everyone has a
favourite teacher, someone who we feel a special connection with. In primary
school, my favourite teacher was Ms. Nuraini. I was not such a good pupil, but
just looking at Ms. Nuraini made me feel that I was going to learn.
Ms. Nuraini was
45 years old and rather short about 1.50 meters. Since I’m short too, I always
feel a bit nervous with tall teacher who tower menacingly over me. It was
reassuring to be around Ms. Nuraini. Also, I always enjoy the fragrance of the
herbs that she grew in our classroom.
On the top of
her round head, Ms. Nuraini always wore a colorful headscarf with an intriguing
design. This, plus her warm smile, brightened the lessons in her classroom.
However, the best part of her face was her kind eyes that said to her students,
”I care deeply about you.”
Ms. Nuraini usually wore bright long
sleeve blouse that went well with her coffee-color skin. She did not wear much
jewelry, just a simple Casio watch on her left hand and a ruby red ring on the
ring finger of her right hand. The other ‘decoration’ on her hand came from
types of ink from whiteboard markers and other sources.
On most days, Ms. Nuraini wore
loose-fitting pants. Finally, on her feet, she often had brown closed-toe shoes
with just a slightly raised heel that made a peculiar ‘clip-clop’ sound as she
walked. These low-heeled shoes made it easy for Ms. Nuraini to walk briskly
around the classroom to help us when we were doing group activities.
I can still feel her friendly touch on
my shoulder as she stood listening carefully to our group or explaining
something that none of us could figure out.

Spiders kill so many
insects, but they never do the least harm to man’s belongings. Spiders are

CAPTAIN PHILIPS-Captain
Philips is an upcoming 2013 American biographical action thriller film directed
by Paul Greengrass based upon the book, A Captain ‘s Duty: Somali n the
starring Tom hanks. It is produced by Scott Rudin, Dan Brunetti, and Michael De luca. The film tells a biopic of merchant mariner Captain
Richard Phillips, who was taken hostafor several
days by Somali Pirates when the container ship Maersk Alabama which sailed from
southtern Oman down along the Coast of Somalia
and then to Kenya was hijacked in 2009.
Captain
Richard Philips (Tom Hanks), a veteran merchant mariner, still lives in his
native New England, and he’s a plain spoken family man full of anxiety about
the economically bleak new world his kids are facing.
When his wife (Catherine Kenner) drops him of at the airport, we can see
reverse her. The film then cuts to Somalia, a land of dust and property,
where the pirates are recruited for
their mission as if they were migrant farm workers lining up to be chosen for
that day’s labor. Greengrass doesn’t have to fill in much about the violent,
chaotic breakdown of Somalia to let us know that these men have little choice.
The film does not generate quite the same level of excruciating suspense as
some of greengrass’ previous triumphs., but it nonetheless holds us hostage as
it proceeds as for the four Somali immigrants, they are remarkably effective in
